You Are The One
©2006 Kimrea
How in the world did you find me here
One hidden in the billions
Did you hear my prayer whispered in the wind
Where you dreaming me, pulling me in?
You are the one I've been waiting for
You are the one I've been dreaming of
Now you are here like a miracle
Like an Angel you are here
Where on this Earth where you hiding?
Seems like a million lifetimes
Did you hear me crying in the silence
A salt water sea of lonliness
You are the one, yes you are the one
I recognize you
I know it's true, I can tell
You're the one. You're the one
What vision led you to find me
Invisable to the eye
Did you catch me shining from behind the blindness
A thousand curtains clouding the mind
You are the one I've been waiting for
You are the one I've been dreaming of
Now you are here like a miracle
Like an Angel you are here
You are the one, yes you are the one
I recognize you
I know it's true, I can tell
You're the one. You're the one

The Sky Is Falling
©2006 Kimrea
Standing in line at the Airport Station
While they do a background check
Hoping that they don't see she was arrested
For marching in the big protest
The man in the humvee is getting impatient
Idling at the terminal gate
She's watching him curse, trying not to hate him
It's all such a waste
All she wants to do is dance
The sky is falling and all she wants to do is dance
The sky is falling and all she wants to do is dance
The president dosn't read the paper
He dosn't watch the evening news
He get's his reality from his advisors
He's well protected from the truth
It dosn't matter what they tell you
There's nothing that you can do
She's stuck there waiting, reading the headlines
Billions for war no, money for schools
All she wants to do is dance
The sky is falling and all she wants to do is dance
The sky is falling and all she wants to do is dance

Free Woman Blues
©2006 Kimrea
Passing by San Quintin on a south bound bus
On to San Francisco, there's old Alcatraz
Rolling into Folsom singing Johnny Cash
No more ball and chain, I'm a free woman
yea, yea, yea, yeah.
I got my ticket out, new suit, new shoes
I got my walkin' papers and that's the hard truth
My baby's gone and free'd me, dosn't need me anymore
Said my time was up, I best be moving on
Passing by San Quintin on a south bound bus
On to San Francisco, there's old Alcatraz
Rolling into Folsom singing Johnny Cash
No more ball and chain, I'm a free woman
yea, yea, yea, yeah.
Buzzards flying overhead, the sky is blue
Free woman whistling a jail house tune
My man he turned me loose, someone else has got my cell
It's all behind me now, I'll just be moving on
Passing by San Quintin on a south bound bus
On to San Francisco, there's old Alcatraz
Rolling into Folsom singing Johnny Cash
No more ball and chain, I'm a free woman
yea, yea, yea, yeah.

Stop Light
©2006 Kimrea
You're romancing me on this busy city street
The world spins around us
Like a movie on a screen, we're making the love scene
Making the love scene
Kissing at the stoplight
Holding hands and waltzing neath a streetlight
Dancing on the sidewalk
Laughing breathlessly
Dizzy in love, we're just so goofy in love
The world fades into the background
Move in for the closeup, two lovers in love
Two lovers in love
Kissing at the stoplight
Holding hands and waltzing neath a streetlight
Dancing on the sidewalk
Laughing breathlessly
This could be the first time
This could be a lifetime
A tale of love unfolds
This is how the story goes
Kissing at the stoplight
Holding hands and waltzing neath a streetlight
Dancing on the sidewalk
Laughing breathlessly
Kissing at the stoplight
Holding hands and waltzing neath a streetlight
Dancing on the sidewalk
Laughing breathlessly

Don't Run Away
©2006 Kimrea
It's three a.m. and the telephone rings
Three a.m. the conversation begins
You're calling me up to say you love me
You just got in and you havn't been to bed
And you can't get me out of your head
Calling me up to say you love me
And you say
don't run away
don't run away
You don't have to run away
I'm thinking it over, taking my time
Thinking it over, making up my mind
You're driving for miles to show you love me
You show up at my door, put your heart in my hands
You say hey baby let me be your man
Driving for miles to show you love me
And you say
don't run away
don't run away
You don't have to run away
It's five a.m. and the coffee is brewing
five a.m. and my mind is still stewing
You're going out of your way to prove you love me
Shaping your life to fit me in
You keep moving in my direction
Going out of your way to show you love me
And you say
don't run away
don't run away
You don't have to run away
don't run away
don't run away
You don't have to run away
You don't have to run away
You don't have to run away
You don't have to run away

It Was Good
©2006 Kimrea
Old man sitting at the top of the stair
Shaking his head and pulling his hair
Wondering how thing got to be so weird
He thinks and he thinks, but he just can't guess
He thinks and he thinks, but he just can't guess
They were always together, two peas in a pod
Making their plans, on top of the world
Now it's like it never happened, what went wrong
He looks and he looks but he just can't see
He looks and he looks but he just can't see
Let me take you back to a sweeter time
Let me take you back, refresh your mind
It was good, it was good, it was so good
It was good, it was good, it was so good
Old man knocking on a broken door
Shaking his fist and cursing it all
Never should have let it go this far
He tries and he tries, but he can't break through
He tries and he tries, but he can't break through
Let me take you back to a sweeter time
Let me take you back, refresh your mind
It was good, it was good, it was so good
It was good, it was good, it was so good
Let me take you back to a sweeter time
Let me take you back, refresh your mind
It was good, it was good, it was so good
It was good, it was good, it was so good

Lovely Martha
©2006 Kimrea
Cold hands, frozen bait, up before the sun
Anchovie on a hook, in the icy dawn
We look for the seabirds to show us where the fish run
Shiney silver salmon sparkling in the sun
The waves wash green over the deck of the boat riding low
We pull in our lines, take our catch and go home
Rocking in the hold, at the end of day
In the dark and cold, I listen to the sway
Fishing boats all tied, how they weep and moan
Tugging at their moorings, they beat the docks and groan
The sound echos a lonely yearning chord
Reaching for a distant shore, something pulling me so strong
Lovely Martha lives on the waterfront
See her dancing in the waves outside the Golden Gate
Lovely Martha do you remember me
I am the gypsy troubador you carried off to sea
Stranded on the shore I'm hanging around this wharf
I watch the boats go out, out to sea once more
Lovely Martha is there, weathered as I am grey
Timeless in her beauty, still afloat in her old age
I see her dancing out over the restless waves
How it makes me ache to see her now this way
Lovely Martha lives on the waterfront
See her dancing in the waves outside the Golden Gate
Lovely Martha do you remember me
I am the gypsy troubador you carried off to sea

Perfect Day
©2006 Kimrea
The sky is blue, the sun is shining
Accross the Bay, the city sparkles like a diamond
Everything is looking fine
All my worries dissappear from my mind
It's a beautiful day
It's a perfect day
It's a beautiful day
In a beautiful world
I'm sitting here, in Sausalito
Accross the Golden Gate, somewhere over the Rainbow Bay
Everything is A-OK
I can't think about troubles feeling this way
It's a beautiful day
It's a perfect day
It's a beautiful day
In a beautiful world
I sit on the dock and watch the tide roll in
Wishing this feeling would never end
I pray for smooth sailing ahead
And more perfect days
Pigeons cooing, like doves of peace
Seagulls flying over ships headed out to sea
Everything as it should be
All my problems fly away in the breeze
It's a beautiful day
It's a perfect day
It's a beautiful day
In a beautiful world

Lonely Coyote
©2006 Kimrea
I stood outside the tavern in the early evening listening
to all the people talking, talking fast and loud
I was saying nothing, I had nothing to say
I heard the music playing in the background from the stage
As the sun set slowly on the town
Another lonely coyote howling at the moon
Another lonely coyote singing out of tune
Another lonely coyote looking for some company
Looking for some company
I leaned against the doorjamb and watched the evening traffic
Three men smoking cigars sat nearby on a bench
All laughing and talking, shouting to be heard
The guitar player kept strumming up there on his stool
Singing his lonesome cowboy song
Another lonely coyote howling at the moon
Another lonely coyote singing out of tune
Another lonely coyote looking for some company
Looking for some company
I stood quietly listening, songbirds singing in the breeze
Wind whistling through a million autumn leaves
Over motorcycle roar and conversation din
The music drifted in and out like a spiders thread
All tangled up inside my head
Another lonely coyote howling at the moon
Another lonely coyote singing out of tune
Another lonely coyote looking for some company
Looking for some company

Secret Room
©2006 Kimrea
I know a secret room, hidden where you can't spy
Safe in the middle of everything where a little light shines
where a little light shines
A light so bright it's blinding, brilliant so beautiful
It cannot be contained, exploding into view
Exploding into view
And the doors will open and you will see
With your own eyes you will see
I know a secret place, only I have the key
There no one can touch me, there no one can see
there no one can see
A light so bright it's blinding, brilliant so beautiful
It cannot be contained, exploding into view
Exploding into view
And the doors will open and you will see
With your own eyes you will see
I know a secret room hidden where you cant spy
Safe in the middle of everything, where a little light shines
where a little light shines
where a little light shines
where a little light shines
a little light shines

The Spell
©2006 Kimrea
Opening doors and flying through windows
I left your glass slippers on the stairs
It was nearing midnight and the spirits were restless
Swirling winds and skittling leaves
Wasn't that your shadow resting on the mantle
just before the exit scene?
Rituals and incantations
I wrote a love potion on the wall
The spell was wearing off but nothing was the same
revising views and changing dreams
Did you leave your footprints running through the garden
hoping I would see and follow
I want to touch you for a moment
Transform this situation
I see you in my prayers
and in my meditations
Looking glass, genie in the lamp
I dealt a good hand on the floor
Dawn lifting her curtain, dust settling on the sill
Imagined illusions
Wasn't that your perfume rising from my pillow
influencing my dreams
I want to touch you for a moment
Transform this situation
I see you in my prayers
And in my meditations

Reunion
©2006 Kimrea
Out of Africa, into Egypt, through the biblelands
around to Asia, over Europe, up through Russia
accross to Canada, down the Americas
This is the journey of humanity
People of this earth, we are one family
We're brothers and sisters we are here together
Brothers and sisters, we can make a better world
We share the knowledge!
We share the power!
Coming to America, as imigrants, as slaves on ships, as refuges, seeking freedom, following a dream
We are all here, people from everywhere
This is the awakening, we are one family
People of this earth, come to the reunion
We're brothers and sisters we are here together
Brothers and sisters, we can make a better world
We share the knowledge!
We share the power!
Out of Africa, into Egypt, through the biblelands
around to Asia, over Europe, up through Russia
accross to Canada, down the Americas
This is the awakening, we are one family
People of this earth, come to the reunion
We're brothers and sisters we are here together
Brothers and sisters, we can make a better world
We share the knowledge!
We share the power!
